Camp was FUN!!!!

My boy got to go to a special needs camp this year. I was so excited that I might have a few hours alone........but when I saw how much fun he was having, it wasn't about me anymore, it was all about him. I was so happy that he got to do something fun!!! I could not wait everyday to see what they did next. He had two great ladies that stayed with him every moment (miss Jenny and miss Sandy).
I think my boy is still having a bit of withdraw from "Camp Chris". We called it this because that was name of the guy who put it all together and ran the camp. He is GREAT!! We love Mr. Chris!
He was even nice enough to let big sister do a few activities!!

What could be more fun than a ball pit, wagons and giant tricycles!!


Big sister loves the big tricycles and my boy loved going for a ride in the wagons.

One morning we saw a lunar/luna moth........pretty cool!!

Big sister got to tie dye a shirt...........she's been wanting to do this forever. It came out great.......mostly dark purple. Way to go big sister!

Porkchop the pony got MANY hairdoos that day!! NICE!!

Momma Cat & Kittens......

My in-laws have some new visitors in their yard. A momma cat and her two kittens. Poor things........ they must have been dumped in their alley. The are a little skidish but beautiful colors. Of course I could not resist taking a few pictures.
The kitten was posing for me in that tree.

Fireworks......

I am a little late posting these photos. This was first real attempt at fireworks with my new camera. I had no tripod so I was using th top of our van as a place to steady my camera. I had just watched a "how to" video online on how to photograph fireworks, so I was really excited. They are not the best but some came out okay and interesting. I hope you enjoy them!! I look forward to improving next year.
Oh...... and by the way these were taken in Englewood Ohio.

Perfect Lighting on the Smoke Tree

One Spring evening I went outside with my camera. We have a smoke tree in our backyard. It's called a "smoke" tree because it has these interesting looking fuzzy type things on the ends of some of the branches. They look like "smoke". I have always enjoyed looking at the leaves on this tree because they are small/oblong looking. They always have interesting colors and veining. This evening the sun was setting and this is what I saw. Gorgeous!!

I got a little side tracked by this fella. These are blooms from an ajuga plant.
I thought they looked really pretty so I decided to take a quick shot...then back to the smoke tree.
