In Grandma's Backyard......

These photos were taken about a month ago in my mom's back yard. She's got some pretty neat flowers, trees and plants. I love to bring my camera along.........

Spring ferns.....

These were some Spring ferns coming up in my backyard. I took these photos several weeks ago. They are not that pretty now and of course much bigger.
I think it's called an ostrich fern????
Of course I am using my new macro lens that my husband got me for Xmas..........LOVE this lens. So fun!! Can't wait to do some more experimenting this Summer.

Nature Center Visit.......

A couple weeks ago, my kids , mother in law and niece, visited a local nature center north of my home. We had a great afternoon and saw lots of interesting animals, birds, trees and plants. We hiked through a woods, got a little lost, and even saw a deer.

Okay Okay, the up close crocus was shot in March, a bit later than the others; but, it was so pretty I wanted to post it!!

Well here are two interesting looking characters if I ever saw it!!
They are too funny when they play outside.

More Fall photos.........

I finally downloaded some pictures I took a few months ago. My memory card was getting full and I needed room for basketball pictures.......... both kids are playing now.
These photos are from this past Fall, right in my own backyard. I had posted a few others earlier and thought these were worthy as well. Fall is definitely my favorite time of year. I just wish it could be that way all year long.
I have so much fun just walking around my own backyard. So many things to see. It is such a nice break for me and I don't even have to leave my own home.
These photos are just a few more from my walk that day. So many contrasting/vivid colors I couldn't resist.
